....of working with and for "The Centre of Conflict Resolution". This client is a wish come true, for me. Their work is one I find to be of the outmost importance for our global world, witch is experiencing conflict and war almost everywhere. I am very happy to be of help and try to improve their visibility in our society, here in Denmark.
This booklet I have designed, trying to get in touch with young men from far away cultures, who is working with youngsters on the street. The task is to get them interested in a workshop that will give them tools to handle conflicts...in a rough environment. It is quite evident for me that I'm competing with MTV, games and Paris Hilton ;-) ...therefore the very colourful form. Here you see some of the pages.

Good old Logo's
It's fun to put some of my logos besides each other and see the difference with which they present themselves.
When the ministry of Health was merged with the Ministry of the Interior, they put out a wee competition. Normally I do not talk down on others....but my God the other entry's were terrible....luckily mine won though it looks a bit to much like some of the other Ministries's logos. We only had 5 days!!
In Los Angeles, buying books go together with cofee drinking. Enter a bookstore and you will see people hanging out for hours, entertaining themselves and enjoying a cup of cofee. Nice tradition. So this shop put the two together.
I don't know why I showed the client this...it has it's problems with too many grey tones to actually work truely as a logo. But they loved it....and it is rather artistic so it goes well with modern dance, bodys in motion
Copenhagen Sound Studio...funny name
I gotta put this in again. I love it. It's a very well functioning logo.
This was a Swedish company, that now are worldwide. They handle PC virus'es....oh it's so ugly, but the CEO are happy and that's what's important
Must admit I have made stuff I will never ever show anyone...it's just to darn ugly, but the client involved were extatic about it...and that's really my task. Or is it? Sometimes it's difficult to balance out, cause we designers are the proffesionals who knows what works and how to get the wanted effect. The client does not. They are good at what THEY do. If you put your foot down and take responsability you may lose the client - if you do not you may lose the wanted effect.....!! It's an interesting world we live in ;-)

Some fun exersises
FROM JANUARY 2007
I find it extremly interesting to work with the everyday stuff that sorround us and see the art that often is not recognised due to lack of presence. This is a photo of a bush on my local graveyard that I have zoomed in on.
FROM MATCH 2006
It was fun to play with other designers work. This is wallpaper with beautifull form and colours. I would never have a wall with one....not to mention a whole room. But they are amazing put together. I would like to make some lamps with these textures on.
FROM AUGUST 2005
On my travels around the world i photograph trees and other natural forms. They have interesting rythems/textures when tweaked and put together. Nature's a greate inspiration in my work.
A Vancouver tree and a twig from L.A. with a local bush
This tree on Hawaii goes well with a cherrytree branch from Vancouver
Vancouver items the lot

Grass'n snow in Big Bear, California with a root from a mountain tree in LA. together with top of Vancouver tree
Cherry blossom twig and root from LA
San Franciscan trees are amazing

Logo....
I just designed these two logos, for a jeweldesigner, and can't choose between them. My inspiration was to make a mark like the ones the good old Bauhaus artist used....and the old Chinese did too...the initials put in a box. Very clean, very simple. This mark wil have to do well hammered into silver. Hmm. Gotta choose.......

Clicking on an image opens it larger, in new window. Enjoy
I was asked to redesign the products from a book club, of a Sweedish publishinghouse. The following are a few segments.

This ia a total redesign, a new designline. I was very partiqular about getting a feel of this NOT being yet a boring Municipal print. The choice of using flowers was about symbolising growing into blooming / evolving. The client was a department (CUE) whose work is helping unemployed people back in jobs via workshops. To escape the dreary municipal-feel, colour is of the essence. I chose a group of colours out of the total of colours from the Municipals designmanual, that now identifies CUE. Mission acomplished.

This is a new company trying to find it's feet. But just the mere fact that they have chosen a design from the start, makes the stand out -compared to the competition in that industry

One delightful sunny afternoon I went to help the shop Yoyo getting started, design wise. So I photografed all the beautiful tableau's, and at night I composed these 11 pages. They are uploaded very simple, as 1 photo a page.
